Carers at Breaking Point - who cares for the carer?
Stress and anxiety felt
by carers creates uncertainty, heartache, depression, exhaustion and ill health
The majority of people will provide care at some point in their lives
Three quarters of UK carers are at breaking point, a recent study has revealed! There is no doubt - being a carer is tough. Tough on the mind, tough on the body and tough on the emotions. Millions of carers, under extreme strain, say they lack help and support and information and guidance. No wonder they can reach depression, breaking point and even contemplate suicide.
If this has happened to you, either recently or in the past, the answer may lie in the CD on this page which has been especially prepared for YOU! It's designed to aid carers to recover their health and wellbeing, giving a short, powerful boost to the body's energy system. Order your copy today! You'll be glad you did!
Carers needs often go under the radar because of the overwhelming needs of their loved one. Carers seem to keep going long after many of us would give up because they have no other choice. There is often no one to step in to take some of the strain, and it can be too late when it becomes obvious that a carer is neglecting their own needs, their human givens and even their own health.

Taking care of yourself is number one priority for any carer. Why?
One of the biggest fears of any carer is: What if anything happens to me? What will (insert name) do if I become ill or unable to cope myself?
Make sure you are there when it counts. Taking care of yourself will be greatly enhanced by the regular use of this CD. Order your copy NOW, and get started right away.

Help in coping with the feelings of frustration and resentment
Families, friends, and the community often give lots of support to carers, but many, many don't. While the population and politicians as a whole give lip service to the immense contribution that carers make (Carers contribution to the economy is worth £87 billion a year), many carers are left to pick up the pieces with little, or no help, or recognition.
Currently, there are around 6 million carers in the UK. Carers provide unpaid care by looking after an ill, frail or disabled family member and 9 out of 10 carers care for a relative i.e. spouse/partner, parent, child, sibling or other relative. Over a million people are caring in excess of 50 hours a week and over 40% of carers have been caring for at least 11 years.
Only 3 in 10 carers belong to a carers group, which means over 60% of carers do not have the backup of belonging to any support organizations. At present, there are not too many theories around why that is. But I can hazard a guess, based on my knowledge of how some of these groups work....
It's a bit like group psychotherapy which teaches the participants how to go round the bend all together. There is a fear of associating with other carers who may latch on and try to gain strength from you, at your expense. This can spread depression through a group in a short time. The idea is to build each other up. But more often than not, the opposite is true.
Many thus take the decision, not to join and to rely on their own resources to get by. This is why, I think, the CD, which is uplifting and teaches you to create your own energy and store it, is going to prove to be a vital tool in the arsenal of any carer who chooses to be self reliant.
Carers often experience much ill health, poverty and discrimination
I can't promise you to get the financial help you need. That's not in my power. You need Carers UK to lobby for that. But I can promise you this CD will give you the practical wellbeing, and emotional support you need. It'll give you the strength to carry on and the determination to do your very best under the most desperate of circumstances.
When a carers responsibilities get too much, they need to time-out and take a break. The longer the better, of course, but this CD is designed to help you cope, and to gain strength, when you only have short moments of reprieve. To take you to a place where you can heal your mind, and body, and emotion, in the shortest time.
When asked what factors helped them the most, when they felt the most depressed, or at breaking point, most carers said, the 'Chance to take a break'.
So, what do I have to do?
You make yourself a delicious drink, you find a soft chair, you take the phone off the hook (or unplug it) and turn off the TV. Place the CD in your player, or use your MP3 player, and if it's safe for you to be out of earshot for around 30 minutes, use your headphones, so you can fully benefit from the experience. Press 'play'. That's it!

A few essential last minute tips
A dear friend of mine, who cared for her mother until she died of alzheimer's, and an aunt who died of the same thing a couple of months later, says, 'I was constantly tired; The pressure was horrendous; I had no life of my own'. But, she also felt 'It was my privilege to be there for my mother and my aunty when I was needed, and at the end, to help them die with dignity, in their own home....... you just have to take one day at a time, because you never know what's going to happen tomorrow'.
She talks to me about the depression, the anxiety, the stress, but also, in the end, she says, 'You just have to accept it'. That's not so easy, because it is natural to think WHY ME? WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS? Actually, 'deserve' doesn't even come into it. Acknowledging that sometimes life isn't fair, is honest and settling.
'I didn't have the internet', she says, 'or computers, back then. But we managed. The doctors told us as much as they knew; Which was very little back then'. Nowadays we have the internet and instant access to help understand the illness of a loved one. You can join forums and newsgroups, which often have members in a similar situation sharing their experiences and solutions to recurring problems.
'I had the dog, of course. She was a good companion, and ment I had to take a little time off to walk her. This kept me sane'. As I've said in this article, you have to take a break and take care of your own needs first. If everyone around you is drowning, you'll be no good to anyone, unless you gasp a big breath first, before going to the rescue.
Use this CD, EVERYDAY! If you physically can't find the time some days, play it anyway. Even if you have it on quietly in the background whilst making the beds, or hoovering, the subliminal nature of gentle talking and directions will register in your mind and you will still gain the benefits. With your newfound strength, get out of the house and join a club or go for a swim. This will elevate your mood and enable you to be the best carer you can be.

Note 1: Please Apply Caution: THIS CD CONTAINS A DEEPLY RELAXING MEDITATION TYPE ROUTINE. PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS WHILST DRIVING OR AT ANY OTHER TIME WHEN YOU NEED TO BE ALERT, OR PAYING ATTENTION, OR OTHERWISE OUTWARDLY FOCUSED. THANK YOU. - Phil
Note 2: Whilst this CD has proved very effective for many people, you have to want what you wish to achieve with hypno-meditation, really, really want it. You have to be motivated and willing to work with it, not just pretending or hoping that hypno-meditation will do it for you. If you are motivated and believe you can do it, you will do it! The important thing is not to give up! Building up small, but measurable successes, helps the body to make permanent changes. I recommend persistent use of this CD, as well as paying attention to your training and diet, all working together, will produce the best results, helping you achieve that level of performance that you alone choose to create. - Phil
